The MC20 is a two-seater coupe with a stripped-down interior focused on the driver. A convertible will be added to the range later, and an electric MC20 will follow as well. The suspension and powertrain are made of carbon fiber, with aluminum subframes, as a result of a partnership with motorsport engineering firm Dallara. This design reduces weight, making the MC20 more likely to succeed ient n the performance arena.
The MC20 is a new model for the Maserati range, and its name refers to Maserati Corse, which means that the brand will soon compete in racing events with a track-only variant of the vehicle. Maserati is debuting a new twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that delivers an amazing 621 horsepower. The new turbocharged V6 engine, called Nettuno, is based on a Formula 1 race car's twin-combustion system and comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. With a 0-60 mph time of only 3.2 seconds and a quarter-mile sprint of 11.0 at 131 mph, the MC20 is an extremely quick vehicle. The MC20's handling is akin to that of a race car alongside its blisteringly quick acceleration. The interior of the MC20 is clean and basic, with just the essential controls placed on the center panel.
